  Irradiance Meter
 1/1

An irradiance meter was constructed to evaluate solar panel performance.  This project used the Amicus compiler and a 18F25K20 operating at 48 MHz with a 12 MHz crystal and 4xPLL.  Amicus has features that make interfacing to the Taos TSL-230R light meter chip simple.  Since the 18F25K20 is a 3.3V part, a pair of AA batteries provide the power.

The light sensor board connects to the tall header pins on the I2C/SPI connector.  The 4 port pins were used to control sensor sensitivity and read the output.
